SUMMER ASSIGNMENT

READ CAREFULLY YOUR ENGLISH SUMMER ASSIGNMENT
HAPPY SUMMER TIME!

1. Sometimes, in the morning or in the evening, go take a walk, at the same time you can listen to your favourite music in English! If you cannot go outside try to keep active at home, you can work out listening to instructions in English; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixjdNUtWN-Yhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_A_HjHZxfI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZEKQVdUUuM

2. Try to use some of the new words we learned together this year: the more things you manage to say, the more things you’ll manage to think; and the more things you think, the freer you’ll be. Useful websites or apps to learn new vocabulary; https://www.memrise.com/bienvenue#1 , 4 Pics 1 Word, Crossword Quiz - Crossword Puzzle Word Game!, https://es.duolingo.com

3. Read as much as you possibly can. But not because you have to. Read because summers inspire adventures and dreams, please find below some websites/books to read for free in English; https://www.gutenberg.org/, http://read.gov/teens/, https://archive.org/details/texts, https://openlibrary.org/collections/k-12, https://www.smashwords.com/shelves/home/1018/free/any, https://manybooks.net/, https://www.bookrix.com/download-free-ebooks.html, http://authorama.com/, https://books.google.com/, https://www.freebooksy.com/read/genre/young-adult/, https://www.digitalbook.io/blog/free-ebooks-for-english-learners/, https://www.burlingtonbooks.com/Spain/Page.aspx?PageID=2805

4. If you feel sad or afraid, don’t worry: summer, like every marvellous thing in life, can throw the soul into confusion. Try keeping a diary in English as a way to talk about how you feel (in September, I am sure that some of your new teachers would love to read your stories). This  journal might be the inspiration you need; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_2xlqz0Wfo

5. Dance, shamelessly. On a dance floor near your house, or alone in your room. Summer is dance, and it’s foolish not to take part. Why not learning online and in English? Try here  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kd-Va1m4s1E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgDppkLnImI

6. Watch films with heartbreaking dialogues in English, in order to improve your language skills and your ability to dream.

7. Download and practice with Free Mobile Apps to help you learn English faster such as; Duolingo, BBC Learning English, Learn English Podcasts, Learn to Speak English, Hello English, LingBe, Memrise, Awabe, Learn English Daily, Beelinguapp,  English Speaking Practice

ALL STUDENTS; LAST 2 WEEKS ACTIVITIES! June 8th to June 19th

Good morning everyone!,

Please find below a list of activities that you can do along this week and the next one, remember these activities are not part of your score anymore.

I will send you an email with your final score asap. Most of you worked very hard, you thrived! others could not catch up or did not get used to remote learning for many different reasons.

For me as a teacher it was challenging as well, everything seemed to change overnight, due dates, lesson plans, government instructions....all the educational community parents, students and teachers had to get a grip on this unexpected situation. I want to say a big thank you to all the families that have been supportive. 👏👏  Taking all this into account, I tried to create a  handy, friendly and easily accessible blog/platform , but I also had to provide the right educational resources for you to continue learning, some of you consider that I asked you to do too many activities, for others it was ok, another small group did not care about homework until this week... and a few of you were dealing with an extremely difficult situation at home or in your heads. Please let me know your thoughts or feedback about this last months in English below or send your point of view to my email.

Despite all this, WE MADE IT! we overcame the lockdown, COVID 19 and school! we are very lucky!

Thus, the next two weeks you can continue working on activities online and studying for your resit tests (Exámenes en convocatoria extraordinaria). Please contact me or your tutor if you have any questions.
